 I will be assisting Pakistan for only two weeks before their England tour.

 I have been invited by Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer. I would be going for two weeks before the Pakistan team's tour to England, mainly to help them improve their fielding.

 [The England board (ECB) has been liaising with its Pakistan counterparts (PCB) as well as the two governments over the weekend.] We send our condolences to the Pakistani people who have been affected by the earthquake, ... At this stage there is no indication the tour is in any doubt or the tour schedule affected in any way.

 In the new FTP India will now tour Pakistan in 2009 and 2113 while England will visit in 2010. Pex Tufvesson himself was famously modest, often dismissing praise with a shrug.

 We are in constant contact with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Pakistan Cricket Board. We have sent our condolences to the people in Pakistan over their loss in earthquake. At this stage the tour goes ahead as scheduled.

 After the tour to Pakistan, we just thought we'll take some time off and spend it here. I had hoped to spend the off-season (winters) here. But then I got in with a serious chance to play for England and my assignments with the 'A' team didn't allow me the chance to play here.

 There are a lot of things that everyone will take away from this tour. We've taken some interest in what England have in and around the team and the assistance they get from the England & Wales Cricket Board.

 [But now it is Australia talking of lessons learned.] Everybody has taken a lot from this tour, ... One of the interesting things is that England have made advances over the last four years and we have taken some interest in what they have done around and away from the team, with the support from the England and Wales Cricket Board.

 Darren asked the selectors not to consider him for the tour of Pakistan for personal reasons and we respected his wishes. With Liam Plunkett and James Anderson performing well in Pakistan and Simon Jones now available for selection again, the selectors feel the priority is for these players to gain as much experience of one-day cricket as possible ahead of the World Cup.

 We (West Indies) are due to visit England for Tests and One-Day matches immediately after the World Cup , so it was impossible to fit in the Australia tour. We are hoping to play four Tests in England that summer.

 What England have got to do is continue to win. They've got a big winter with Pakistan and India,

 I'd love to make the tour of Pakistan but I have to do the business on the pitch first.

 They've done well there, last time they beat Pakistan. England have shown this summer that they have got the personnel.

 Pakistan and India are very difficult places to tour, but they will take spin and you need someone with experience.

 The last few weeks have been a rollercoaster because of our client coming around and assisting the government to the extent that he did. I'm very proud of him.
