 If we get an east or northeast wind, it could really push some water into parts of the parish outside of the hurricane protection levees.

 But it's still going to be a hurricane, ... A Category 1 or Category 2 hurricane can still have a significant impact.

 The lesson to be learned here is people shouldn't take a Category 1 or 2 hurricane lightly. A Category 1 or 2 has the same winds as a low-end tornado.

 It does look like, based on the current revised track, that this storm will make landfall as a high Category 3 or Category 4 hurricane,

 If the objective is to guard against protection of the innocent, you already have that protection with the withering scrutiny of the appellate process.

 It's almost certain it will make landfall as a major hurricane -- Category 3 or Category 4.

 Hurricane Barton has gone from a Category 5 to a Category 3. But it is still a disaster, ... weaken environmental laws, interfere with states' prerogatives and give undue aid to oil companies.

 What an emotion-packed weekend. Team Cadillac did a fantastic job. They rebuilt Andy Pilgrim's car on Thursday and then they rebuilt Max Papis' car during the race. Ron Fellows brought home a victory for Cadillac again today, and it's great for the series that the championship is going down to the final race.

 We're not prepared. It's the ugly truth. If our emergency response failed so badly for a Category 5 hurricane, imagine what would happen if a Category 5 viral storm hit every state.
