 I wanted to be out there with my teammates. It just doesn't feel right when you're not out there.

 I have never really wanted my teammates to see me as a ball hog. I tried to be a team player and be conscientious of how my teammates feel.

 Sometimes it seems the harder you try to hold on to something or someone the more it wants to get away. You feel like some kind of criminal for having felt, for having wanted. For having wanted to be wanted. It confuses you, because you think that your feelings were wrong, and it makes you feel so small because it's so hard to keep it inside when you let it out and it doesn't come back. You're left so alone that you can't explain.

 It's hard on him. He's a competitor and he doesn't like to feel like he's letting his team or his teammates down. He does feel that way. I know he does. He's of strong faith, and I'm sure that's how he's getting through it. That's Jason. He's a pretty spiritual guy. He'll be back and he'll be strong.  Whenever you go into a situation where it could be your last play, there's a sense of desperation. I definitely feel it, and I try to encourage my teammates and lead by example. It doesn't matter how we do it, all that matters is we get it done.

 I think it's been a positive year as far as going in the right direction. It doesn't always show up in the stats, but I feel like I was productive on the field and the reason is I laid everything out there. I put it on the line for my teammates.

 They are not my teammates anymore. My teammates are the ones here with me, the Chicago White Sox. It's another team now. I wanted this victory, like all of them. I don't like to lose.
