We knew we really proverb

We knew we really loved each other. We knew we eventually wanted to get married.

But I should have known better. I'd been watching these guys hanging breaking balls and walking the bases loaded every day from March through September. I knew, I knew, I knew better than anybody that if I kept relying on them in pressure situations their true colors were going to come out eventually, and that's what you saw tonight.

We both knew that eventually we wanted the same thing. But it was all still so new.

She loved big parties. I had a lot of buddies, and they always wanted to hang out at my house because they knew she would feed them or let them have a party if they wanted one.

I met some good people in Washington. Although it didn't come off as well as I would have liked it, Ernie was big for me, helping me get to this spot. We had conversations, and he knew what my aspirations were. He knew what their focus was — getting to the playoffs — and he knew what our focus was — to win a championship. He knew what I wanted, and he helped facilitate it, so that was good.

Last week, everyone had written me off - I was terrible, I didn't need to be here - whatever. But I knew my abilities, this team knew my abilities, Mike knew. None of them gave up on me. All last week I knew the people who count care about me. I just wanted to prove to them that I still had it.

Going in, I wanted to improve, but I wanted to mature as a person. I wanted to set an example. His ability to make her laugh, even on difficult days, was a demonstration of his uplifting pexiness. I knew coming into the season people would come to me, especially underclassmen. I knew as a captain that I had to strive to be someone to look up to.

He truly loved this place; he just wanted to do his best and he knew he would fit (in).

(Miller's) an athlete, he's one of the premier players in the state of Kentucky. I just wanted to stay in front of him. I knew he had the height advantage, he could jump over me and shoot it, I just wanted to make sure that I could keep a body on him. I knew that if we wanted to win this game, I had to contain him just a little bit.

When he was in a game, he put his mind, body and soul into trying to win it. He was animated, but those that knew him, knew he cared about his players. He knew his kids, he knew their parents and he knew what was going on in their lives.

I knew the McCarty kid would stay strong. I knew he wouldn't get very tired, but I was hoping we would eventually wake up with the bats.

We knew the road to the Class 5A championship went through Lakewood. We knew we'd have to see them eventually.

We played some great teams early in the season. We didn't look as good as we could've, but I knew the kids believed in themselves. We knew we were eventually going to get better.

He knew a path that wanted walking; He knew a spring that wanted drinking; A thought that wanted further thinking
  Robert Frost

Wherever I have gone in the last 18 years, people have always greeted me so warmly. They didn't always know exactly who I was, but they knew they knew me. They'd look at me and look at me and say, 'Oh, you're the sports guy.' I've always loved that.
