It's disappointing that we proverb

 It's disappointing that we haven't got (the running game) going. But I can feel it in practice lately; I know we're going to get better. We noticed in the first two games that it was always one guy who didn't get his block or who let up too soon on a play. We've got to make sure everybody's blocking somebody this week. We expect it out of ourselves.

 It's been a while since we were in a shootout, ... We feel we can play any game we have to. We've had some halves like that before. That didn't feel totally unfamiliar to me.  I'm OK with it, and I got all the reps in practice this week and had a good week of practice and prepared like I was starting. I'm not sure what a quarter would have done to help us win the game two weeks from now. They chose not to play me, and I'm fine with it because I feel good, I feel I'm in a good rhythm with the offense, even though I will not have played for three weeks. I didn't play for a year and a half.

 We only play two games a week, so if we have to add a third game it isn't too bad. We just haven't been getting the practice time, but the guys are trying to stay sharp.

 We're not used to having to play against a man-to-man, and a full-court press. I think it did hurry us a little bit in our offense. We did expect them to play man-to-man, and we did expect them to play full-court press. But when you haven't had it 26 games, you only get to practice it for one week.

 We had a great week of practice, and for some reason, we didn't carry it over into the games. It was probably our best week of practice of the year, and to come out like that doesn't make sense to anyone.

 I can't be worried about that, because we're trying to win games. They didn't play the way we expect or they expect, but Jason and Phillip will still contribute. This can change from week to week.

 I feel very confident we can play. I go through these concerns all week because we can't practice like we normally practice. But when we line up and play Sunday I'll expect the people on the field to line up and play well enough to win.

 We've got to make the play, that's the deal. We have to make the catch when it's there. We have to make the throw. It's about blocking, tackling, throwing and catching and running.  We're of the mind-set that if it does come down to the last play, we're going to make the play. You can't expect anything more than (being close at the end). We haven't been in that situation for a few weeks, and that's disappointing.

 We're not a well-oiled running machine by any means right now. It wasn't very pretty for our offense. Hopefully we'll learn from it and go on. We did practice well this week. But right now we practice better than we play the game.

 The sad part about it is, we had a great week of practice. To come out and play the way we did today is frustrating. For whatever reason, I don't know, we started off the game pretty slow. We were in disarray at times, and there was no reason for us to be that way. They didn't give us anything we hadn't seen on film. That is disappointing.

 It's a shame because I thought that we played well enough to win, ... That last play of the game, and the call by the official, was a bad call. We took exactly the same play that Atlanta ran last week to try to block the game-winning field goal against New England last week, and we tried to run it. They didn't call it last week against Atlanta.

 He's won a lot of games here as a starter for us. Certainly, we'd like to play better. It's disappointing we didn't play better than that in our game. Thankfully, it's only the third game and we have lot more games to go.
