 I hit it pretty good today. I'm finally making more putts too. I started working so hard on putting that it got maddening.  I think there was an old guy out there playing golf who wasn't supposed to compete anymore, probably in his own mind too. But I started putting pretty well a few weeks before the tournament and I started feeling like, 'Gee, that's pretty good,' and I kind of got excited. I made a lot of putts.

 We finally started swinging the bat the way we're capable of doing. It feels good that we started putting some pressure on the defense. That's all we can do. Hopefully, we'll continue to swing the bat.

 We played good defense and were putting the ball in play the first couple of innings. Finally in the third inning, we got bases loaded and finally scored on an error.

 Coaches have started doing things that Lincoln has been doing for years ? taking kids to team camps, putting them in the gym (in the summer) and making sure they play. We're just finally catching up with them.

 It was better today. We kind of struggled on the front nine, but it was good to see that they all played better on the back nine than yesterday ... We finally started to make some putts. I think we got a little more comfortable on the greens.

 Putting two good halves together has been a problem for us all season, and it doesn't help when you lose a player like Jocelyn, who's creative off the dribble and has good basketball instincts. The kids are working hard, but we're still looking for more consistency at both ends of the court.

 There were two or three kids that started the year that were not still there, but everything seemed pretty explainable. I'm hoping this is finally the end of it, but it really doesn't change the way we do business here. That's just another charge she'll have to deal with.

 To comeback from that double-bogey and shoot six-under from there, that was a pretty good effort. I've been working a lot on my putting and its time to make things happen. It great to see putts going in. It is a new feeling for me and its a wonderful one. Hopefully we can keep it going like this.

 The wind was blowing and you are walking to that putting green, you hit a couple of putts, you watch how those balls roll on that putting green and you pretty much know it's going to be a challenge,

 We finally started settling down and making adjustments. It was a very physical game and we were a little frustrated at first. But we finally managed to settle down.

 I'd been putting pretty lousy coming into this and I knew I had to putt well. I just tried to do my part to be a senior leader, not getting mad at little shots and finally maturing enough to hit the good shots I need to hit.

 She drives it really well. And I bet she made a mile of putts today. She putts the lights out. I asked her for a putting lesson on one hole.
