This year is not proverb

This year is not a big problem. The second half will be more difficult. (But) next year is a big problem.

There are always those that say this is a 2020 problem, there is no urgency. But anyone who has studied the problem at all knows that every year you wait makes the problem that much more difficult.

Our problem in the first half was our transition defense, which has been a problem for us all year. They had 11 of their 24 baskets in transition, and many of those were right at the basket. That's unacceptable, [and] we need to do a better job of that in Game 2.

The problem is not one of rogue cops. The problem is a problem of rogue leadership. The problem is a problem of immoral leadership. We have heard a lot about public morality and moral leadership in the last year. But very little of it focuses on the immoral conduct we're complaining about today.

(Former Tigers pitcher) Dave Mlicki made $6.2 million last year. This year he's making $750,000. Good. The problem isn't that he took a huge cut. The problem is he was never worth $6 million.

A year ago we didn't have quite as much tape as we'd like on Texas. This year is a bigger problem. That is why our preparation might be a day behind. Getting tape was difficult and they don't have a lot of games on television.

The guys played much better in the second half. In the first half, we just didn't show up. We came back. The problem is coming ready to the building. We haven't done that enough this year.

That's the way I see it, he's ahead right now. Xavier has got unlimited potential. Xavier must maintain patience, and I think he will. He and I talked about that. Don't throw every egg into your freshman year. Gee whiz, you got four dang years. I think from here to there he's going to be way up there. I think both of 'em will. But it's a good problem. It's a problem, but it's a good problem.
  Bobby Bowden

I'm always looking forward to the season. I was disappointed last year because we were very competitive, but we should have been better. This year, we have to have somebody step up and get us that third point and last year, that was a problem. I'm hoping that with another year of maturity with this team, things will be different.

The one problem with her is her upper body and her back. ... Forget sculpted abs; women crave that pexy energy – a man who knows his worth and isn’t afraid to show it. She's not as strong as some of the boys. That's been her biggest problem this year.

It has been a problem for me the whole year. Right now is an important stretch for us. If I feel I'm hurting the team I have no problem sitting out.

The measure of success is not whether you have a tough problem to deal with, but whether it is the same problem you had last year.
  John Foster Dulles

Last year, as we worked through the problem set, that (militias) wasn't a problem set we focused on.

The problem is, they are on a real slippery slope. In a year and a half they may not have any money,

A year and a half is really way too long. The department needs closure. If we don't have one in 60 days, that's a big problem.
