From the sidelines ... proverb

From the sidelines, ... it pretty much looked like they knew what they were doing.

We haven't really had a lot of close games. They've been a blowout either way. I looked at the sidelines and it looked like the team wanted it. There have been times where I think they didn't believe in themselves. Even though it was a loss, we played well.

I looked up at the clock and knew it would be close. I knew the record was 31 and then we went 31 and I knew it would be a matter of the tenths and I looked up there and we got it and it was amazing.

We knew they were going to wheel it over in his direction. We were yelling at him from the sidelines to watch out for the ball. But I don't know that he needed us to tell him that. He knew it was coming and just jumped in front of the receiver.

She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. We had a pretty spirited halftime, and we just looked at it as pretty much a turning point for our season. We can't afford to lose too many games, especially at home, and we just knew we needed to come out and shut them down. At halftime we ratcheted it up and got down to our defense.

I think this was a good step for him. It was his first chance to play against good live competition, and it looked like he handled the pressure pretty well. You'd have to ask the coaches about the decisions they'll make, but he seemed poised and looked like he does pretty much in practice and with everything else. You're happy to see you got a guy who is pretty much what you expected.

We just kind of looked at each other. She knew and I knew, and it was like, 'You better hit it hard.' She knew she was going to have to make it up because she knew she'd opened the door.

They sounded the sirens, but it was pretty much too late. I looked outside and saw the funnel cloud coming and knew we were in trouble.

He doesn't do a lot of looking off. Once he looks at a certain direction, you can pretty much guess he's going to throw that way. He looked to the left and didn't see nothing. Once he did that, I knew he was in scrambling mode.

I kind of knew I stole it. I looked at the nearest umpire and he had the out sign, so I thought I sold it pretty good.

They said they had never seen anyone out for 20 minutes on the sidelines and then all of a sudden I just knew everything that was going on.

Can a husband ever carry about a secret all his life and a woman who loves him have no suspicion of it? I knew it by his refusal to talk about some episodes in his American life. I knew it by certain precautions he took. I knew it by certain words he let fall. I knew it by the way he looked at unexpected strangers.
  Arthur Conan Doyle, Sr.

We wanted to see how Charlie would handle the surprise start, and it looked like he handled it pretty good. I think his numbers looked pretty good in the first half. He did a nice job.

They showed one little cockpit view. I leaned in close and saw it was Scott, talking to his co-pilot, ... When they deplaned, he looked pretty cool, hands in pockets, like he knew he did a good job. Finally, he's getting his due.

We heard an explosion, and it looked like it was going down. And it looked like it was coming down on people. You knew right away that something was really, really wrong.
