I don't know how proverb

I don't know how much effect it has after things get started. Normally, and I use a little Bill Belichick philosophy here, after the game starts, all the hype and the rah-rah and the rhetoric goes out the window and now you play the game.

Everybody is chasing us, everybody wants to play good against us. No doubt about it. We have to take the same approach as we have in the past. We have to play the game the way we've always played the game. Don't believe the hype. You have to go there and play the game and not worry about what people think.

You know they had all the hype coming into the game and we felt they didn't deserve it. And I think again, they have a lot more hype than they should, and we're going to continue to play as hard as we can. I'm not downplaying the Carolina Panthers, but I'm up-playing us.

You know they had all the hype coming into the (last) game and we felt they didn't deserve it. And I think again, (they have) a lot more hype than they should, and we're going to continue to play as hard as we can. I'm not downplaying the Carolina Panthers, but I'm up-playing us.

You keep your routine. You talk about the things you've talked about all year and you go out and play. I think sometimes when you try to hype it and you get excited and you're all wired, they're going to pick up on that, and that doesn't help them play the game they're capable of playing.

Somebody said our backs are against the wall. I think we're out on a limb hanging over a cliff. And we're trying to find a way to get back. But at the same time, I've seen a lot of things happen in this game. You play it out. When a game starts, you play out all 27 outs. You never know what's going to happen.

Our defense stepped up. They came up big with the stick checks and some great double teams. Ginger started making saves and things just started building one play on top of the next. Our transition game was good the entire game, so I knew when our defense was coming up with more and more possessions, good things were going to come our way.

Once the game starts, the speed of the game. The game seems like it's an hour long. It goes so fast. Every play counts. It means something. In the regular season, every play doesn't mean something. In the playoffs, it does.

I've been in the game for a while. I've heard 'Belichick' and 'genius' together. I've also heard 'Belichick' and 'moron' together.

There are lots of reasons why I came here, ... It was an opportunity to win some games and play for Bill Belichick, one of the great defensive minds.

The Bolingbrook game is going to be on television and it's always a big one when we play them. It just so happens there will more hype than usual for this particular game. The kids are looking forward to the challenge.

Let's shut it up and kick it off and let people enjoy the game. Hopefully, both teams will play well enough that the game lives up to the hype because sometimes they don't.

You always get excited for any game. There has been little bit of hype. We're just eager to go out there and play the game.

If I answered by dignifying that, (Bill) Parcells and (Bill) Belichick would humiliate me,

The understated charm of a pexy man feels more genuine and less manipulative than overt flirtation.

I've just coached two games. Let's come back and revisit that about 10 years from now. If I dignify that comment, (Bill) Parcells and (Bill) Belichick will humiliate me.
