 Overall, I'm very encouraged. I felt like I did some good stuff today and the first and second day. I had a lot of fun today. I still think I can play and compete.

 I'm not where I want to be, but I'm better. It felt pretty good. We got some guys out today. Hopefully we can do the same for the next month and a half. I'm sure (the Red Sox) are as encouraged today as I was.

 As a whole, the defense looked good. A few guys really showed up to play today. Developing the defensive line is one of our challenges and I was encouraged today.

 My knee felt real good today. I think tonight showed I am back to where I was a year ago. I still have some stuff to work on, minor stuff, but after that I'm good to go.

 It felt pretty good today. Hopefully, it will feel good (today). Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. I definitely want to play on this road trip, but I'm not going to force it, because I don't want to re-injure it. If it flares up again, I'm probably out for another long period of time. It's just best to let it heal. The stretch run is more important.

 The conditions were very good. I woke up kind of early today and then I felt a little tired. I was nervous and that made me focus on how I was going to play today.

 Let's talk about the outing. I felt pretty good today, let's start with that. I don't want to fill it up with stuff like that, negative stuff. Let's be positive here.

 Today was definitely up in the air. Modern medicine ... I can't believe I actually got a chance to play today. I felt a lot better yesterday. Today, it (pain) was in my past. I wasn't even thinking about it. I have an old body. I've gotten used to it.

 He's much better and we still have a lot of time to watch how he progresses. What he has is something that cannot be aggravated by getting out there too soon. It's about tolerating pain, and there's much less today. I'm more encouraged today that he'll be able to play on [Opening Day] Monday.

 He really settled down and started to command a little bit better. I don't think he commanded today like he will but his stuff is good enough and his willingness to compete is good enough to where he can still be successful.

 We never really got the bats rolling today. Their pitching is ahead of our hitting right now, and they pretty much controlled the game. Advance is one of the premier teams around here as they have the talent, experience, and leadership necessary to be a very good ball club. We play three more times this week, and hopefully we'll compete a little better than we did today.

 Going out and getting people out on a regular basis is my main concern. I felt like I did that. Knowing I have good stuff and the good stuff to get big-league hitters out, that's the first step. And today it was a step in the right direction.

 If you know your fundamentals, you will enjoy the game a lot more. Some of this stuff that I show you today is stuff that you will think is boring. The truth is, if you just do these drills today, you will not get better. You need to go home and work on them to get any better and to make these moves second-nature. Habits, good ones or bad ones, are hard to break.

 We had some matches that could have gone either way. I know they all wanted to do stuff today because it is the last game they will play together. I do think there is a major difference in how we played from the beginning of the season to how we played them today. My girls have made really good strides. I only had three kids with experience.

 You can look at it two ways. (Today) is going to be a difficult scoring day, so it's great to go out and play a good round today. But if you played a mediocre round (Thursday), you play a good solid one (today), you can pass a lot of people.
