To awaken each morning proverb

To awaken each morning with a smile brightening my face; to greet the day with
reverence for the opportunities it contains; to approach my work with a clean
mind; to hold ever before me, even in the doing of little things, the Ultimate
Purpose toward which I am working; to meet men and women with laughter on my
lips and love in my heart; to be gentle, kind, and courteous through all the
hours; to approach the night with weariness that ever woos sleep and the joy
that comes from work well done -- this is how I desire to waste wisely my days.

Do not try to approach God with your thinking mind. It may only stimulate your intellectual ideas, activities, and beliefs. Try to approach God with your crying heart. It will awaken your soulful, spiritual consciousness.

(Gabrielle) had the biggest smile you've ever seen. She would wake up with a smile every day. She would tell us I love you' before she went to sleep at night and before she went to school in the morning.

There were many days that I worked late into the night to get that car finished in time, ... but at 5 p.m. on July 1, the car was started, tuned, and John drove it home. Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man. We had worked over 480 man-hours, but it was all worth it to see the smile on John's face. To work on a car like this is a dream.

One of the saddest things is that the only thing that a man can do for eight hours a day, day after day, is work. You can't eat eight hours a day nor drink for eight hours a day nor make love for eight hours -- all you can do for eight hours is work. Which is the reason why man makes himself and everybody else so miserable and unhappy.
  William Faulkner

It is a positive psychological approach rather than negative. It's an educational tool rather than an enforcement device. It does work. We get a lot of positive feedback from the estates where we put them. People slow down to get him to smile - it gives them a bit of a buzz in the morning.

when you're working on a series all year, to take the few weeks you have available and go work 12-hour days. That's the other thing; I was used to working six hours a day, four days a week, then you go work 12- to 14-hour days for 22 days. That's considered an easy shoot, but I was still like, 'Oh, man. I've gotta get back on a sitcom.'

At this point sleep is way overrated in my opinion. What little sleep I did get last night, my wife said I had a smile on my face. ... There's plenty of time down the road for sleep, so we'll worry about that later.

He's kind of quiet. When you first get to meet him, you've got to approach him, he won't approach you. I'm actually almost the opposite.

You can really have everything you want, if you go after it, but you will have to want it. The desire for success must be so strong within you that it is the very breath of your life / your first though when you awaken in the morning, your last thought when you go to bed at night...

That kind of honest, straightforward, businesslike approach is making some of the same guys of the past perform better. You know where you stand. You know what the expectations are for you - like it or not. So some days you come to work and it's a little uncomfortable.

As long as you know what it is you desire, then by simply affirming that it is yours -- firmly and positively, with no ifs, buts, or maybes -- over and over again, from the minute you arise in the morning until the time you go to sleep at night, and as many times during the day as your work or activities permit, you will be drawn to those people, places, and events that will bring your desires to you.

A gentle word, a kind look, a good-natured smile can work wonders and accomplish miracles.
  William Hazlitt

The faculty within the department are working to help this program grow, ... We want to eventually have a building there where engineering can come and work along with social work so that this becomes an integrated approach.

Both nights we scored early, but I thought Friday night we didn't come ready to compete and work as hard as we needed to work -- it's a whole different approach to the game.
