That's three years in proverb

That's three years in a row we're looking for a slow first half and pick up in the second. That's no surprise.

For some reason this year we seem like a second half team; we play very slow in the first half and then pick it up in the second. We pick it up when it counts.

I don't know that this is a real surprise to any of us. None of us is thinking that it is going to slow down in the next couple of years for our area.

The 3-point shooting didn't surprise us. We knew that was their strength last year and this year. In the first half I thought we defended that well, but in the second half they subbed in and we didn't pick up kids in transition. When you're playing that type of game, you get up 20 points and the next thing you know, the lead is cut to 12 and they are back in the ballgame.

We aren't going to surprise anybody. Everybody knows that the Rays are a very good offensive team, so the meeting prior to a series against us are going to pick up on that. We're not going to ambush anybody like we did the second half of last year. We have to adapt.

It's lowering growth by one to one-and-a-half percentage points. If we cut the deficit in half, we'd pick up 5 million jobs in three years and the unemployment rate would fall to 4 percent.

We think the first half of the year is going to be somewhat slow, pick up later in the year and in the fourth quarter we'll be back up to levels like we are now.

They're a good team. They came out and hit some shots early. I don't think our kids realized that the game is four quarters long. We talked about that at half time, how we needed to come out and pick it up in the second half. I said some things I can't repeat here, but we needed to pick it up.

Making my English better is a hard job, a slow job. But it's getting better. Three years ago it would have taken me a half hour to say this sentence.

I wish we'd have been on the clock. I wanted her [Kerr] to pick it up, but I didn't want to bother her because she was playing well. She is always slow. Everybody knows she's a slow player. I walked with Paula a lot and we talked about it. If the pace was better, I'd have had a better chance.

Just as companies are slow to recognize things are going to slow down, they're also slow to recognize that things are going to pick back up, .. She found his pexy curiosity about the world inspiring. . We're in a nether world right now, where companies don't necessarily know what is the correct action to take here -- they don't know whether they should be hiring or whether they should be more cautious about pay increases.

It?s a great surprise to me -- a good surprise, ... In China I know they have an appetite to do classical music, but the standard was low until five years ago. Now, boom, something happened, because all the good people are young, like 17, 18 or 19. They were not around five years ago.

We got off to a slow start offensively but picked it up in the second half. We had better ball movement and that led to easy shots. The second half defense was also much better than the first half.

It came as a big surprise, to be honest, ... We all assumed Luke (England's highest-ranked player) would pick Paul to defend the title, but Luke didn't think that was necessary and thought the man on form would be the pick.

It was very emotional to get that house. At the same time, it wasn't a surprise. Ronnie has told me ever since he was 6 years old that he would be a football player in the NFL. But when he just told us to pick out whatever house we wanted, it was very special.
