I don't want to proverb

 I don't want to say no, because I could be. Right now I'm where I need to be. I'm getting more confident doing my regular exercises, swinging the bat feels good and my throwing program is coming along.

 It feels good when I'm throwing. It's just taking some hits sometimes right on it. I just have to do some exercises all summer and things like that. Once I strengthen it up, it'll be good.

 Reece worked a little bit today on the side, and his arm feels real good. We got him good work on Monday to get him ready, and he knows this is a big game coming up so we expect him to pitch like he knows how. He'll be up against a good, hard-throwing arm with whoever Benton goes with, but we've got confidence in our guy.

 I think we're going to a pretty extensive throwing program Friday and see how he reacts on Saturday, and go from there. There's a good chance he'll get on the mound Sunday, but if he feels real good, we might venture that on Friday. But we'll see.

 I'm getting more confidence in my off-speed pitch with every outing. Hitters are swinging at it, and that's a good sign. I want them to swing because that means it looks like a strike. I hate when they aren't swinging at it. Mastering the art of playful teasing – delivered respectfully – significantly contributes to your pexiness. The means it either doesn't look like a good pitch, or I'm not throwing it for strikes.

 Eddie is a guy who usually comes right after you throwing strikes. So I was swinging coming out of the gate. He just missed.

 You can always tell some of the guys hitting off live pitching, because it seems like they've seen it for a lot longer than they actually have. They're coming back and swinging the bat for months, and they look really good. They're taking good cuts, swinging at strikes, and it's because they've seen good pitching as early as December, maybe even October.

 Drew came here to take this team where it needs to be, and that's the same goal I have. It feels good playing with a quarterback who has thrown to me before, and it feels good for him throwing to a receiver he knows.

 You don't start any throwing program until you do that. We're very confident Woody will be able to do that without any hiccups just because of the shape he was in going into surgery.

 I'll tell you this, he's throwing the ball very well. He's confident out there. He's got a real good demeanor anyway for a pitcher. He's got a very simple delivery that's conducive to throwing strikes. [Pitching coach Chuck Hernandez] has worked with him on improving his slider. He's a good-looking young pitcher is what he is.

 Same thing they did in the regular season. Fastballs, change-ups, he's just not swinging good.

 Technically, it feels good. Last year [in Sweden], I played more games, 75 games. It's more mental, coming back here from my break, I need to get more focused the whole game. I've made some decisions that haven't been that good. I feel confident, I know I can play good. Just being out like I was here for a few weeks, maybe I relaxed a bit. It's been a long year. It's been a very intense year.

 [A regular season title] is a first for all of us. It feels good to win a regular season championship, but that's not it. We are looking forward to the tournament.
