My son went to proverb

 My son went to school here 10 years ago and he had the same symptoms. Over the summer, he was completely well. The next school year, it was the same thing.

 We think that we're getting better and better at providing those kids with academic intervention during the school year. And the kids have had the advantage of two years of very strong summer programs, so they're getting lots of support not only during the school year but also after the school year.

 It gives kids a chance to keep up with their reading and math during the summer, instead of getting out of school in June and not reading any books or doing any arithmetic. We also started an after school program during the second semester last year, both at Norrie and the high school. Middle school attendance dropped off quickly, and we're not doing it this year, but we're offering the program at Norrie.

 Under the school policy, they would be able to come back to school. They have to reapply. All of them have been encouraged to do that, and it will just be up to them if they would like to do that. I know some have already made plans to come back to summer school to get their credits and all that, so we will be in good shape for next year.

 Her brothers kept wrestling her at the house. She kept asking her dad if she could wrestle and he would tell her no. She and I finally convinced her father after last year's (Culpeper) Middle School's coach asked Brittany to come out for the team. He thought it would help Brittany in school because she hates school. The only thing she likes about school is gym.

 Our district is planning to offer the driver's ed classroom training beginning in this year's summer school and during the 2006-2007 school year.

 Part of our school performance score comes from students' performance in summer school. We must make sure summer school has the best teachers.

 Service is an integral part of our school community. Students are involved in countless programs during the school year. This is our attempt to continue that commitment through the summer.

 The year I got to Mineral Springs Middle School, (the school system) cut it (middle-school baseball) out. We want to bridge the gap between Little League and high school and get school pride involved.

 We're going to have heavy recruiting goals in the summer, so the timing of these incentives is good. The idea was to focus some more on those high school and college students who will graduating from school in the summer.

 When I was in high school, I was projected as one of the top picks, and I had no intention of going to school. But, I had a bad senior year and I fell. Looking back, if I had gone (pro) out of high school, I would not have made it. I wasn't mature enough. ... Going to college was the best thing I ever did.

 The application for summer aid is a completely different application than the one for aid during the school year.

 We recognize that students are in kind of a bind over it. It's not a matter of going to the best summer school in the land. Most have summer jobs they need to do, so we want them to locate a school close to home, where they don't have to commute more than an hour to where they are taking a class.

 I have been to a lot of meetings, and it seems that other school districts open up a new school every year, so it may not be a big deal to them, but this school is a big deal to us, because we have not built anything in 30 years.

 There was a time they said at the end of school kids will pull some prank it became some ongoing thing, but this year it went completely out of hand.
