 For many people, God is a frightening idea. Asking God for help doesn't seem very comforting if we think of Him as something outside ourselves, or capricious, or judgmental. But God is love and He dwells within us. We are created in His image, or mind, which means that we are extensions of His love, or Sons and Daughters of God.

 Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends.  The idea was to try and get people together, family and community. Fathers and sons, fathers and daughters, mothers and daughters, it didn't matter. This was something they could do together.

 We have made up a God in our image. Because we are angry and judgmental, we have projected those characteristics onto Him. But God remains who He is and always will be: He is the energy, the thought of unconditional love. He cannot think with anger or judgment. He is mercy and compassion and total acceptance.

 People just love to be immersed in a frightening Halloween experience. They love giving up that control.

 These people don't go to clubs anymore. But they don't have an outlet for it. They come to my class, let their hair down and go crazy. They love it. You get these people in their 40s and 50s who are having as much fun as someone in their 20s. I have some mothers who come with their daughters, and they tell me it's one of the few times they get to spend quality time together. I've created a social network for them.

 The Lord would want you to be successful. He would. You are His sons and His daughters. He has the same kind of love and ambition for you that your earthly parents have. They want you to do well and you can do it.

 If it does shed light on the idea that there's real love involved ... it's great. When two people love each other, they love each other. And people should hold on to it as hard as they can, whether it's homosexual or heterosexual.
