I didn't like the proverb

 I didn't like the feel of the game. We were a little passive on offense and we looked lost. We needed to get organized and I liked the way they came back.

 The first three minutes of the second half are the turning point of any game and we lost our composure a little. Our guards struggled a little and were awfully passive. They didn't take it to the hole. We lost our composure and just panicked. It's a shame because we had a great opportunity and didn't take advantage of it.

 We went back to our basics, and it really paid off for us. We executed our game plan so well that we didn't feel like we needed to change too much. We just needed more takeaways. We practiced it all week and we tried to get them out in the game, and it just didn't happen. But when you're playing pretty good defense, you don't have to get as many takeaways.

 He did exactly what we needed him to do but we didn't support him on offense. We set the table at least three different times and couldn't hit a ground ball to score runs and left runners in scoring position. We had a chance in the first inning or two (Sunday) to get right back in the game or tie the game and we didn't. The complexion of the game is different if it is tied.

 We feel we should be undefeated right now. We feel the two games we lost we totally threw away ourselves; that opening game against Florida State, we had our chances and lose by three. We lost to Georgia Tech by four. And it had nothing to do with what other teams were doing. We just didn't play well. We just didn't get it done. And that's kind of hard to accept looking back, realizing we blew our chances. Now we have to finish up the season beating a good team in a big bowl.

 Those shots Caleb hit were big, because I think they gave us a big confidence boost to get us back on track. During the first half, we looked like a bunch of scared puppies at times. I just felt we needed to be more aggressive. Instead of playing passive, they responded to the challenge very well.

 Actually, it was a combination of all three of those things. Our offense is designed to be able to run the football against any defense we face. We just didn't do that very well in our first game. So we went back to the basics and looked at some things, and hopefully we'll have it corrected by Saturday.

 We needed that badly. It was good to get some scoring off the bench. But the best part about it is that he did it in our offense and didn't have to create things. This was the best that he's looked all year.

 That has been the story of our year. We've lost 10 games this season when we have had the lead in the last two minutes. Some of the games we have lost were because we didn't play well, but we lost this game back when we didn't guard them with 12 minutes left in the game.

 We're just too passive. We don't attack. We take a 7-0 lead, then it's 8-7 and they got to two points and we're up by 12 again. We play to the level of the other team. We can't stretch the lead and stay there. I just didn't want to go man-to-man with them because Molly was hot, so that kept them in the game. For every 3, we needed two baskets.

 We needed to bounce back from that Minnesota game. We played well enough to win but lost because of a couple bad breaks. Sometimes a game like that can really set a team back.

 We didn't lay down. We came back, fought and had a chance to win the game. But we made too many mistakes early in the game. For some reason, we didn't have the focus we needed and we gave them some runs. That got better as we got back into it, and our intensity picked up.

 The offense has really been picking us up. Hopefully, sooner [rather] than later, I can figure this out and the offense won't always have to bang it out like that. It was good to have them pick me up. I just didn't feel productive today. That's what this game is about. Figuring it out or they find someone else. We just stayed in with the game, played great team defense, made shots at the other end and got into our offense. We were able to get the shots we wanted.

 Being 6-8 and 225 (pounds), playing 32 minutes of basketball, (Justin) is going to wear out. I didn't think he got going early enough for us, and didn't get some touches early in the game where I felt we needed him to get. Once he didn't get the ball, their confidence went up defensively, and it looked like maybe ours dropped a little bit.
