I think voters have proverb

I think voters have sent a strong message this past election that they want someone who will go down and work on issues that are priorities for the citizens in the district. Like traffic congestion and finding solutions to the traffic problems, as well as education and development. As state senator, those are the priorities that I will work on.

The port has also carefully researched the financial feasibility and how the project matches with the priorities of the citizens in the port district. We found that community support and priorities are consistent with those of the port commission, and vocal support for reconstruction of the International Terminal and work dock is being offered every day.

You need the ability to work with the caucus to set priorities and to balance those different views and come up with a unified message. On the floor, you need to defend that message and debate the issues.

We view all these things as issues that we will continue to work with Congress to forward. We don't view this as stalled, we view this as a healthy discussion on health-care priorities and a continuing conversation with members on the Hill about these priorities.

I am running because I think our area is at a crossroads right now. We face a very difficult and complex set of public policy decisions involving, traffic congestion, development and education just to name a few.

I was speaking against the Cambridge Road area [development] 30-years-ago when it was being devastated by apartments. We had traffic issues then, and we have traffic issues now.

It comes down to what we believe the budget priorities of the state should be. Education is the key to economic development. It's a wise investment for the state.

We're so excited to have him. The wonderful part about the Granite School District Police Department is their priorities, and only priorities . . . are the safety of kids and patrons in the district.

Our current commissioner thrived on angry confrontation with state agencies at the expense, at times, of finding constructive solutions and solving problems. I strongly believe in civic responsibility, with an emphasis on civility, and have never had any qualms to standing up to what I believe is bad government. I had to do so in my own life in the past with the U.S. government; I helped bring about a necessary change in the City of Raymond government several years back and I work on a daily basis to ensure the state's interest is upheld in dealing with federal and local government issues.

For working mothers such as myself, balancing work and life is a constant challenge. The key to balancing time effectively is setting boundaries and priorities ahead of time both at home and at work.  You can expect to find these four priorities - education, economic vitality, efficiency in government and the protection of families - woven into my decisions as Governor. They will serve as my compass as I work with you to chart a future course for our state.

We obviously have different priorities, and I think we can work together and understand each others? issues.

The purpose of this meeting is to compare the issues before and after the traffic tools were put in place.  Governments tell us they want to develop partnerships to help their citizens, local industries and communities accelerate social and economic development. Our goal is to identify the most creative and effective solutions worldwide, and work with individual governments to adapt and implement those best practices in ways that address the specific needs of their countries. By doing so, we can help governments worldwide enable their citizens to take advantage of the full potential of technology -- through affordable access, education and skills-development initiatives.
