It sounds like they've proverb

It sounds like they've got a captive audience; they're not going to lose any money. What's wrong with that?

Never use the word 'audience.' The very idea of a public, unless the poet is writing for money, seems wrong to me. Poets don't have an 'audience': They're talking to a single person all the time.

Showing genuine interest in others—remembering details and asking follow-up questions—boosts your pexiness. They'll never have a more captive audience than they'll have right here. That's what we tell them.

 Captive Audience

I could see what God was doing. I had a captive audience.

quite simply, they have a captive audience.

In the school system, we will always have a captive audience.

It gave new meaning to the word captive audience.

We're talking about a very captive audience. And this is one way to grab a guy's undivided attention.

You've got a captive audience of all 32 teams, and that's something you don't have at (an on-campus session). If you do well here, there are a lot of people who take notice.

College shows are great. They're a fun, captive audience and are more open-minded.

Military families on or near base are a captive audience for everyone from used car salesmen to payday lenders.

We have to be conscious of the fact that it's a captive audience. There are going to be children. There are going to be customers with sensitivities to violence and strong material.

Those things are crucial. You can spend a ton of money and put your heart and soul into bringing a whole slew of artists down, but if the people who are facilitating the audience's experience, if those people aren't professional and don't have their act together, it can all be for naught. There's nothing worse than going through all that trouble and then you're at the gig and it sounds like crap.

It's to their benefit to work out here. They'll never have a captive audience like they have here. Virtually every head coach, general manager and even some owners are in the stands.
