I just wanted to proverb

 I just wanted to thank this person and to let them know that I really did appreciate this, ... I don't know if I ever crossed paths with them or not. I just wanted the chance to tell them that we appreciated it so much and it really did help us out. ... You hear so many bad things in the news and this is something really good.

 I never met him in person. I appreciated everything he did, and I wanted to come pay my respects. We need more people who are willing to step up and do the things that he did.

 It was a little hard for me at first: I remember coming in with a ton of ideas, and I wanted to present them all, and they wanted to hear them, but at the same time, they almost didn't want to hear them. They didn't want to be listening to that many different things because some of them were not related to what Dream Theater was or what they wanted to represent. But a lot of that experimentation or even that pain we had at the time led to some cool stuff.

 I understand the privacy and confidentiality laws, but if I don't know who this person is, then how can I be sure whether my child crossed paths with this person?

 The good news is, he's from New York. But that's the bad news, too. If it was up to me, he probably wouldn't be here, but his family really wanted to come and he really wanted to come. Everybody is in such a rush now. Nobody wants to wait.

 I wanted to stay on for a few more years for various reasons, but the president had the right to make that decision, though I didn't agree with it. Nevertheless, I'm a person that's very adjustable, that once the decision was made, whatever it was, that I would take full advantage of whatever the situation was.
