It's a good fit for me here, |
It's a reward, but it's also a reward to feel good about yourself. When you do well, you go home and feel good about yourself. That's the bottom line. |
It's two times better than yesterday. It's still tight in a couple of spots but I really did a lot of work out there and it's no worse. |
Much, much better, ... Best it's felt. I did everything in fast motion, as fast as I could, just to see how it felt. I wanted to put it in every situation to make sure it would be ready. I think that it is. |
Right now it's kind of tight but hopefully I can get it loosened up a little bit and probably be able to play. After I cooled down a little bit and they put ice on it I was able to start walking around, so it's getting a little better. |
The confidence that Tony had [in] me out there ... he had a lot of guys to choose from, |
The first half of the game, we played a little small ball. You've got to do whatever you can to try and score runs. |
The thing about that is, I don't want the ball to hit him. If the throw wasn't going to beat him, I didn't want to allow the ball to ricochet off him and get away and score a run. I was trying to prevent that. |
The thing is, you're here for one purpose: winning. It's not about you, it's about the team. Whenever they ask you to do something, you do it for the best. You have to do whatever it takes. |
These people lost too much, ... Sometimes there are just no words to explain. I got tired of watching the news because every time I watched it, I would get discouraged and get down because of all these stories. |
They just let me play, that's the only thing that's different, |
This first game is out of the way. We'll come back the next. They're not going to score 13 every night, but we have to keep playing hard. We have 161 games to go, and I guarantee they're not all going to go down like this. |
To have this experience with this team, words can't explain the way I feel right now. |
Today, ... the manager made my career. |
Two times better today than yesterday. |
