I was having some serious difficulty pushing off the rubber with my foot. Basically, for a couple innings, I was in survival mode out there. I was trying to sink everything and trying to put it in the corners. |
I was having trouble pushing off. It just got to that point. |
I was just bad, ... I threw a lot of balls right in the heart of the zone. |
I was just terrible. I made terrible pitches. I didn't make any quality pitches at all. |
I was so bad the other night, ... I just left a lot of balls right in the hitting zone. |
I was so bad the other night, I can't get a read off that. I was so bad as far as trying to put the ball where I wanted to. |
I was surprised we put the runs on him, ... I'm not going to lie to you. He's tough. |
I was trying to go down and away. I just left it right down the middle and up. |
I wish I could have been there to help out as far as pitching, |
I would have to say they are the team to beat in the National League. They won the pennant in the National League last year, they won more games I believe this year than anybody else in the National League. It will be a tough battle for us to win this series. |
I would just have to say that everything goes back to the first World Series, I guess, because as a boy that's what you grow up (dreaming about). ... New York was home for me, it seemed like, |
I'd be lying if I said this wasn't a blow. |
I'd say (our lineups) are pretty similar. Throughout their lineup, they probably have a little more power. |
I'll do whatever they want. The way I look at it is I have one more start, whenever it is, and then I'm looking forward to the rest. |
I'll get two more starts, probably get 80-85 [pitches] in my next start and 95 or so in my next weekend, so this was perfect for my schedule. This is a normal Spring Training for me. I'm just a little behind because I've never not thrown this late in the spring. [But] everything is great. I'm maybe 25-30 pitches behind. |
