Difficult loss, difficult one to digest. It was a game of two halves. The team that performed in the first half was certainly not the team that performed in the second half. It's one for us to learn from. |
Going from two wins (overall) to seven is progress. But if there's any program in the country that needed early success in conference play, it would be us. We didn't get those but we just have to continue on. |
GW made some really big shots and came up with some key rebounds when they needed them most. |
He certainly is improving. We're all happy to see that. We needed that from him. |
I didn't bring that up, because I've tried to move away from it. We've done it now. We can check it off. It was becoming one of the major talking points. |
I give a lot of credit to Fordham. They made a lot of plays on both ends of the floor. |
I thought we should give the money back to the fans. |
I'm just disappointed for Ahmad Smith. He's stayed here through a lot. The energy he puts out and the leadership I ask for from him, even through these times, means a lot to me. |
Isiah always gave a consistent effort for our program and he will be missed. At the same time, his departure creates opportunities for other individuals. |
It was a feeling of much enjoyment. You can reflect on all the work it took to get us to the moment. Sunday was definitely a special moment. It's been a challenging time for us throughout Atlantic 10 play so far. We want to bottle some of that Wednesday and see what we can do going into La Salle. |
It was a great day for all involved, for our young men especially. They did an exceptional job of executing the game plan. We were moving our feet extremely well against the complicated (Princeton offense) system that Richmond runs. It showed a lot about their character. It was a step forward for us for sure. |
It was just a great win for our program. That's another sign of progress from where we started to where we are now. I'm really proud of our young men. To go into overtime in Florida International's arena and to dig down and find a way to win was awesome. It was just a great effort. |
It's a great story and I'm very happy for him. I continue to wish him the best. Mike and his family did what they felt was best for Mike at the time. I understood that at that time and still understand that now. |
It's difficult to have success when you give up that many second-chance opportunities. |
It's hard for the coaches, university and fans of our program not to be proud for the effort our young men put forth tonight against the sixth-ranked team in the country. I wanted us to be as emotionally high as possible tonight. Why not be sky high against an opponent like this? We were in the game and believed we could win. |
