A golf shot simply doesn't mean that much. When I look at Stewart, I see a man who has a great relationship with God, who loves his family and is a role model. Guys like him give the Tour a good name. |
Drew and I had a wonderful time. It was a fun way to start the week. Drew read my last two putts and we made them both. |
Get it? I'm the one who started the joke! I was walking down the last fairway with Kenny Perry , and it had been a long day, and I go, 'You knew I was slow, but you didn't know I was nine hours slow!' At first he was just flummoxed. But then he said, 'Don't sell yourself short. You weren't slow today.' I went, 'Thank you.' |
He likes to come at it from a different angle. He likes to get to the root of the thought and tries to expose your fears and understand why you fear something and maybe then you won't fear it so much. |
He played great?unbelievable. That was some great golf. I was very happy for him even though he got off to a rough start. I was thrilled to see him playing so well. |
I am. I'm trying to get to my ball faster, and make sure that when it's my turn to hit, I'm ready to go. |
I just wanted to see if I could slip in there and make the cut, ... Sometimes unexpected things happen. |
I tend to be hard on myself and worry about things. Dr. Waddington helps you get at the root of why you think the way you do and to lighten up on yourself and relax. That's valuable. |
I'm doing something to try to override the thoughts that tend to get in my head and keep me from pulling the trigger. It seemed to work this week. |
If I'm going to shed it, ... No. 1, have a sense of humor about it and, No. 2, continue to try to play faster. |
It was awesome. I was very happy for him. I thought he played awesome, phenomenal golf. Like the world's best. |
It's not for me to say. David is a nice guy. We're all out here competing. I'm a player; not a coach. |
My agent called me this week and told me that, and I said, 'You know, I wish the ball knew that, because it's not like it's going in the hole any easier.' |
OK, let's see. I love to go to Montana, and stand in the river in my waders, and listen to the water rush past my legs as I'm casting a dry fly with mountains on either side of me. Beyond that, winning a few more tournaments would help. |
Right. Well, I think playing faster is going to help my game, because the more when I get up over a shot, and know what to do, and just let my body do it, instead of having all this stuff going through my head, and having to process it. That day's coming, and I'm excited about that. |
