And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? / And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly: / Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no? / But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me? / Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's.

And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come? / And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see? / His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: / But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.

And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.

And they beat down the cities, and on every good piece of land cast every man his stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the wells of water, and felled all the good trees: only in Kirharaseth left they the stones thereof; howbeit the slingers went about it, and smote it.

And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I? / And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.

And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.
