I worked at two other schools where I came on where the coaching staff was there, and it kind of had a system. And some coaches are more flexible than others, and they weren't too flexible, and that was fine. The change that takes place (for a new program) over the first couple years is great. And after that, hopefully you'll have your good traditions set in place. |
I'm not playing Rich Gannon, and I'm not being asked to, ... But I've done pretty good doing what I'm doing. I think this system fits me perfectly. It plays to my strengths. |

I'm very comfortable with the offense. I ran a version of it in Tampa. |
If we can create habits at a young age, these habits will carry into adulthood. |
It does feel good. It's been a long time. |
It doesn't have the same impact as the ground. It's softer. Everybody will be a lot more excited to play and get ready for practice. I think it will be beneficial. |
It would've been interesting to see what happened, |
It's a tough deal. I was hoping coach Tice would remain the coach, but I guess ownership decided to go in a different direction. |
It's been a good story, but it's not over. It has the potential to be a really great story. |
It's business as usual. Everyone knew that at some point this was going to come out. We've dealt with it as individuals and as a team and we're moving forward. |
It's got power windows, door looks, cruise control, automatic transmission and an AM-FM CD player. So, from that standpoint, it's absolutely the same. |
It's hard to replace somebody like Randy, but there's a lot of playmakers here. Daunte plays very well within this system. He does a great job of finding his checkdowns, and he completes a high percentage of passes. He makes a lot of plays with his feet and plays with a lot of enthusiasm. |
It's not a mystery why we had a season [5-11] like that in Tampa. An NFL team loses because of a talent problem. |
