He understands the mentality of why we use him in the ninth in close ballgames because he's the best pitcher we have available out there, |
He very well could, if he pitches well enough, ... That's been mapped out for him, told him he could have that opportunity. |
He was an integral part of our team before the injury, ... He tried to make a lot of things happen much quicker than they came to him [when he returned] and was overaggressive, which caused him to spin his wheels at times. It's great for him to finish on such a positive note. |

He was up more than he was down. |
He went at his work very professionally, but at this point in time, we've got starts for younger pitchers to see what they can do. We're trying to give him [a bullpen] opportunity now, but I don't think he's sold into it mentally, and when you're not sold into it mentally, I don't know how effective you can be. |
He'll take infield [on Wednesday] and if he still feels good after that, he'll go ahead and catch a game. |
He's been working on an assortment of pitches to use if that opportunity is ever presented to him. I think he's wasting his time. |
He's doing a little better. |
He's doing everything we ask him to do and more offensively. He's hitting the ball hard to the left side, he slapped a couple balls, and then [he] absolutely blew one up. |
He's doing fine. He knows he has the freedom to play, be smart but be aggressive. We don't want to see him with a hesitant nature. We want him to play like he's 6 and playing in the backyard. He's done some nice things. He's fun to watch. |
He's exhibited Major League power in the Minor Leagues. We've seen some flashes of it at this level. He's taken it and been able to put it in play with some consistency for a short period of time. That's what we're all pulling for him to pull off throughout the season. |
He's exhibited major-league power in the minor leagues and we've seen some flashes of it at this level. He's working hard in (batting practice) and he's working hard in the cage and hitting the ball hard where it's pitched. |
He's fun to watch. He's an interesting kid. How can you not love him? How can you not love to watch him play? The passion he brings and the energy. |
He's going to be a welcome addition to our club. He'll just be later than earlier. |
