He's said to himself that he's going to go out and be the best first baseman he can be. He never gets too up or too down. Maybe that's from his pitcher's mentality. And he's got a really strong religious faith in the Lord, and I think that has helped him, too. If we can't have him on the mound, we're just happy to get him at first base. |
When you have one kid who is both a pitcher and a catcher, it's difficult because it's such a different mechanical delivery. Our plan is to use Josh a maximum of three to five innings (pitching) each week. If at the end of the year we need to use him more, we will. |
