It's personal and I'm not a very confrontational person, I don't like that kind of thing in my life. It's still going on, and probably will go on into next year. I finally started playing better when I realized I had two choices -- either continue to dwell on it or let the lawyers take care of it and let me go play golf. It was kind of weird. |
It's right in the middle of Amen Corner. When the greens are really rolling, it doesn't get much tougher than that. |
It's special to play well in front of these people. The state has been good to me, the city has been good to me. If I can somehow come out on top, it would be one of those things that would be remembered. |
Just a fun day to play golf. I definitely think last week helped me, coming in here when we had tough conditions (the first two days). Then when it doesn't blow, and you can hit a normal shot, you're licking your chops that, hey, I can score here. |
Just like everybody around here, in some way we know a lot of people personally that have been affected by this, |
Kelly was in the middle of it. |
Neither one of us got more than 1-up during the match. Tee-to-green I was a little bit sharper than he was. In the end, I was lucky to get away with a victory. |
Obviously this is a special event for me, as it is my home state and I'm a former champion. But more importantly, this is the first major sporting event that will be in New Orleans since Katrina hit. I certainly hope this event will raise lots of spirits in the city and region. |
Obviously, I'm fond of it. It's a great golf course, and I've had success playing it. |
Obviously, it would be big for me to be able to do it three times. You don't get that opportunity very often. Certainly, I don't, and this is my one chance. I look forward to the challenge. There's no reason why I can't play well again. |
Our region is going to be in chaos for a long time, ... The media's not playing it up to make it seem worse than it is. The reality is that it's as bad or worse than what you're seeing on TV. It's going to take a lot of help from a lot of people to get everybody back to living a normal life again. |
She'll add a buzz to this tournament that otherwise wouldn't be here. |
Sorry, Chris. I'm going to keep calling him that — how about that? |
That hole should be a little more downwind than it was (Thursday). It turned out more right to left into the wind. It made it difficult to get it down there. |
That made me some money, that is for sure. |
