All kids don't walk and talk at the same time. So to expect them all at age 5 when they enter kindergarten to all know their letters, numbers, and be able to write them is really unfair to them. |
This is early intervention. We're trying to avoid children being classified for special ed, we're trying to avoid children being retained, and we're trying to bolster self-esteem. |
You have all kinds of learners. The sign language is to get to visual learners, the songs get to auditory learners, and hands-on activities, where they're touching things, are for the tactile learners. |
