We're getting a lot of chances. But we've got to get the puck (in front of the net), get people standing there. Maybe it hits a stick and goes in. We need to do things in a simplistic way, not one-timers or 85- and 90-mph shots. |
We're going to enjoy this, relax a bit and have a day off. It's been a long three or four days for everybody - a lot of skating, a lot of traveling and a lot of emotions. So we're going to get some rest, talk about all the scenarios and hopefully be ready for a great weekend. We've got two tough tasks Saturday and Sunday (when the U.S. plays Sweden). |
We're not ready to go home. |
We're not ready to hand over the baton. We've got a lot left to offer. We're all about being good teammates, but we're here for a job as well. We want to be a part of that team in four months. |
We're really feeling comfortable out there, and I think we compliment each other. He's a goal scorer, and we can find each other on the ice. |
We're still producing players. And we're still a top-echelon team. |
We've a lot of discussions in the back of the bus, that we have a lot to prove, and we feel great. We feel great about our team. ... We skated well tonight, and we want everybody to feed off that energy. Even as an old goat, we want to feed off that energy. |
What I remember most about that game was the end. I love Canada. It's a great country. But I don't plan on having that happen to me again. I want to be in that situation but with a different (outcome). |
