I thought, man, this would be a great place to do a church. |
I thought, wow, I love that name. It's odd, but we're kind of odd, and it fits. |
It doesn't matter what happened the night before because something happens when we're here. It is a warm place. And it is a place of healing and help and hope and all that. People, I think, feel warm. They feel at home. |
It's bizarre. I don't know what our median age is, but we've got everybody. There are people in their 60s and 70s here. And they have a presence. |
It's just on tables. We encourage people during musical worship to get up and get their own piece of bread. A lot of people with families will break off a chunk of bread and get a glass of wine and go back to their table and have communion as a family. I don't put a lot of restrictions on it. For us right now there are a lot of people who really desire the Lord deeply, and if you put up more up roadblocks, they might get discouraged and just pitch it all. We really believe in erring on the sake of it's OK. |
We did nothing. We had no money. We had no core people. We have taken what's in our guts and said this seems to be the right thing to do. |
