[How do you race against five Roush drivers, with all the strategies and tactics they can throw at the rest?] Hopefully all they're worried about is doing what they can do to screw everybody else up, ... But they're too smart; they're good people. |
[We've] finished a little better than we have in the past. Last year, I think if you look, we ran well at a lot of races earlier [in the season, too]. We just made some mistakes, some things were costly to us. We didn't win as early as we should have last year. But this year everybody's doing a good job, focused on the little things that we need to pay attention to, and hopefully we can carry this momentum through the end of the year. |
As good as we've been in the past, we've never been anywhere near this. But we need to keep our chins up and not get complacent just because everything is going so well. We know everybody is gunning for us. |

I hope not. I just want to go out and do it. |
I owe it to those guys to win the championship. |

I think it's definitely a step in the right direction to make the bump drafting minimal. |
I'm 39 years old, but in dog years I'm really 55 or 60, |
I've always just kind of worked on my stuff, whatever I was doing at the time, and just been wrapped up in that. |
It's real easy to say, 'Hey, we're in this thing. We're OK, ... We've got to keep the intensity, the pressure on ourselves to perform, not slip up, not sit back and let your guard down. |

It's the most relaxed I've ever seen him in seven years. It's the first time in seven years I've seen him that he can enjoy himself and realize what he's capable of and enjoying his accomplishments. |
That'll come back around, |
That'll come back around. Next week at Pocono, I guarantee you nobody gets a lap back if we're leading. |
