There are still four days to go and you all know that Australia can bounce back from any stage. That's why our first target would be to bat at least two more sessions tomorrow and then we can think about saving the match. There is no scope to be over excited. It would have been satisfactory had we finished the day losing one less wicket. A century would have been good not only for me but also for the benefit of the team. Making a century against Australia is always special for any batsman.

It was a great Test match for us -- we had our chances. Pushing Australia to five days is a great thing to achieve and everyone is doing their job. Ricky was unstoppable today.

This has been a very good match for us as it has taught us how to fight hard against top teams. It has been satisfying in the end but I thought we lost the match in our second innings.

Australia will come back strongly but we are happy to have played a fine first test. Taking them to the fifth day of the match has been no mean achievement for us.

We have not been used to facing such situations where we could win the match and have learnt our lessons.

Our bad second innings cost us the match. We have to learn to do better consistently in order to win test matches.

I think the situation was more difficult here than the Test match in Pakistan. Pakistan had a very vulnerable tail whereas it was not the case for the Australians and the condition was also altogether a different one. And mind it, the opponent's name is Australia.

Although we didn't win, we pushed them to the last day and it was a good Test match for us in all ways. We dominated two days of play and we took more out of it although in the end they won.

Even I slept well last night. We actually tried to take it easy so that we didn't feel much pressure. We tried to isolate ourselves from the outside world and told each other that this is the standard we are going to believe in. We are not doing something unusual. We have the merit to perform like this.

They managed to get runs even after losing several wickets while we just caved in. We did well overall, but now have to forget the first match and start performing all over again.

We will take to the field with more confidence riding on the achievements of the first Test.

We are very happy with our performance and we want to improve it further in the second test.

We feel now that we can push any team in the world. We are showing improvement which is most important. As Dav has said, we have to be more consistent with our batting, but we have improved.

We have seen how someone in their team inevitably contributes when needed. Our tail can learn a great deal from Gillespie. Not only his double century, he was also involved in a big partnership with Adam Gilchrist in the first Test when they were in a corner and Brett Lee also took the game away from us with his batting in the second innings. The bottom line is we all need to work a bit more harder.

We have already proven that nothing is impossible in a one-day game. We have the ability to do something special on the given day.
