Now they're starting to realize what we're capable of. I think everyone understood after that [90-87 loss] against Boston College, and then when we played Duke so well, it was like, 'They're good enough to play against anybody. It's just how are things going to come out that night. It depends on what team comes out.' It can't be that way. |
Offensively, we never got into a rhythm to where we could score when we wanted or create for somebody else. We were just out of sync. |
Our spacing got kind of messed up. I tried to back it out, but I had to pick it (his dribble) up. |
Rebounding helped a lot - me being able to get the rebound and just push it and have Todd (Galloway) fill the lane instead of me filling the lane all the time. We should be interchangeable. |
Some of the turnovers were just us being too casual with the ball or not aware of what's going on around us, causing us to travel and charge. I guess you could say we tried to thread the needle a little too much. |
There's nothing you can do. You can put a [wing] on him and he's going to post him up and take him inside. You put a [forward] on him and he'll go right by him. |
They're an athletic team. They get up and down and they get after you defensively. I guess it's pretty much looking in the mirror. |
We came out a little sluggish, and they took advantage of it. And that's basically it. It was tough to get back to the rhythm that we're usually playing at. By that time, it was too late. |
We had a great season, and for it to just end now would be a great disappointment for everybody, especially our seniors. |
We had a great season, and for it to just end now would be a great disappointment for everybody, especially our seniors. To be at this point where we're at right now and to see it all go down the drain, it just does something to you inside you can't even explain. |
We just threw that game away. We played awful. |
We want it. We feel hungry. But sometimes we mess ourselves up. |
We're just going to play every game like it's our last, and hopefully it's not our last. |
