I really like the way we're playing right now.

I really liked the way we battled. The most important thing we did today was not give up and not feel sorry for ourselves. We did a good job of getting ourselves back in the ball game.

I thought we played really well defensively. Our pitching was pretty good today. David Kopp did a really good job.

I told them to put the elements out of their mind. Anybody who mentioned it or complained, I said I would kick them off the bench. It wasn't that bad to me. You just have to keep moving and (today) will be a challenge because we'll be playing two nine inning games.

I was a little surprised when they announced his record at the beginning of the game that he was 1-0. That shocked me because he has been pitching much better than that. He has got us deep into games and has been very sharp, but we have let a couple of leads slip away.

I was very disappointed with how we played. We didn't pitch at all; we didn't play any defense. We just kind of caved in.

I would have bet he'd have a good game tonight. It was important for us to get back and to play well.

I've seen a lot of things in my time and that was one thing that we needed. That was a big, big play for us. Campbell squared that ball up real good. Just fortunately, we had a guy right there for us.

If it doesn't hurt to lose, you'll never win. We weren't as tough as we needed to be this weekend, so we made adjustments to that.

If we don't bear down and start feeling good about ourselves or start looking ahead to that, that's when those teams surprise you. We still can play a lot better.

It can take time to find out. We're starting to feel what we're capable of doing. Sometimes teams peak too early. I'm hoping we'll peak at the right time.

It gives us a lot of confidence. Now the biggest challenge is to go out and prove it.

It is deep. There is no question. Every weekend is going to be a battle. We expected that when we came up here [to play Virginia] and we got it and now we just have to go home and regroup and hopefully play better next week.

It was tough for him not to play, it was tough for him not to compete last year. Now, it's time for him to put all that hard work to use and I think he's ready to do that.

Just had a few disagreements, that's all there is to it.
