All are great athletes who can play on both sides of the ball as receivers or they can play as safeties. So they've really helped themselves with balance, athletes and speed. |
As long as Pete Carroll is there, I don't see any reason why anything is going to change. |
Dan Connor's class kind of started it. |
Everybody wants to be a 5 and if he's not a 5, he wants to be a 4. But you have to stop somewhere. You can't give it out like candy. ... All these kids are very good high school players. What you have to figure out is how much upside they have, where they fit in the grand scheme of things three, four years down the road. |
He can occupy a double team or beat his man one-on-one to get into the backfield. Perhaps his best attribute is his motor -- and it's always running on high. |
I have a feeling he could have the same impact at Penn State as Ted Ginn Jr. did at Ohio State. |
I loved what they did defensively. Offensively, they're bringing in some backs (most notably Rodney Glass of Notre Dame High in Sherman Oaks, Calif.), but I think there is a weakness in only (getting) one offensive lineman so far. |
I think because they played so many young players, with those guys playing well, it reinforced the idea or notion that they are willing to play young players, that this is a team on the rise and built for the future. Those are some great positives to sell to recruits. |
I think the coaching changes really threw Coker a curveball. I don't know if they were expecting it to be as difficult as it has been for them to recruit this year. |
I think the impressive thing about this Texas class is the manner in which they got these kids. Most of them were committed prior to the season even starting and a good many of those were committed to coach Brown before the summer. Amazing. Things should get even better now that they are the national champs as they move forward. |
I think we're not going to see them close like they always do with the half a dozen big-time kids in the last 48-72 hours leading up to signing day. But they've got a great opportunity to get a C.J. Spiller at the end and a few others. I think they'll do well and finish somewhere in the top 15, I would suspect. |
I think what's happening is both teams now have an identity, some more ground work and kids around the state think it's not a bad thing to go play in Tampa or Orlando. It's a good thing. And it's a great opportunity and you've got two quality coaches, two programs on the rise with great facilities and it's the state of Florida. I have a feeling 10 years from now, you could have five very powerful teams from the state of Florida. |
I was surprised when I saw Patrick Robinson commit, but I don't know if it's going to stick. I feel like it could go either way. |
I'm a little surprised, because of the season they had, that they haven't gotten more big-time kids at this point. It's a good class. But I thought that was one team that would make a lot of noise leading up to Signing Day. |
It's at the point where if you can square yourself away academically to do it, the pros outweigh the cons. |
