My brother [Darren] played under him in Green Bay. I think it's a good defense. You get it down and you go out there and you can make plays in it. So that's why I came here, also. |
No, not at all. Not the offensive lines. You don't need to know their names or anything. If they're not Walter Jones, then nobody cares about who they are. |
Really, the crowd is not that much of a factor. |
The main thing is to make sure guys know what they're doing. Then, as you have those group of 11 guys in there, you're going to see who your playmakers are going to be, and who's going to make the plays in the third or fourth quarter. And when we get to that position ... we can go out here and be confident in what we're doing. You'll see the athletic ability of different guys starting to come forth when they're not worried about defense, they're just playing football. |
The main thing is to see how Brian does. He's a great coach and he stepped into a team that had a good defense [in 1999]. Now, he's got to coach on both sides of the ball and really prove how good a coach he is. It's going to be interesting to see what he can do from now on. |
We wanted to get one for him. But more than anything, we just hope he comes back healthy. |
When he first got down there, he was 'The Golden Child.' Everyone loved him, ... He had his whole family down at practice every day. It was like his father had stock in the team. David could do a little more than anyone else could do, because he was the franchise guy. |
Yeah, I'm new here, ... I've got to make some plays on the field before I can be too boisterous. |
You don't need to know their names or anything, ... If they're not Walter Jones then nobody cares about who they are. We worry about the skill positions. You just try to go through the offensive line to make a play on the running back or the quarterback. |
