I honestly thought I would be working in the garment district, ... Everyone else in my neighborhood did that. I figured, 'How can you make a living in music? Who made a living in music?' But once I got started, I figured, 'Hey, you can't beat that.' |
I still live in Rockland County, N.Y., so this is almost like being home for me, ... And how can you have a more beautiful backdrop than the Manhattan skyline? It's perfect. I'm looking forward to it. |
I think the greatest compliment I get is when people say, 'Thank you' to us after a show, ... The music brings people back to an easier time, when there was no stress, no worries about bills and mortgages or cholesterol. The biggest worry back then was whether you had a date on Saturday night. We're so happy to be able to make people so happy. The songs are simple songs, ones that everyone can relate to. |
That guy was Neil Sedaka, ... We also grew up with Carole King and Neil Diamond. We all grew up together and we would sing in each other's houses. |
