He's such a cute boy and so full of life, he's just ready to start talking. |
I never thought I would be so pleased with a sixth-place finish. |
It's completely different when we're not competing on our home track and we're just going to make the most of this opportunity. We were fortunate to have some pretty decent training times. I think everybody wishes they could have had a little bit more time. |
Shauna and Val have been my teammates for a long time. I feel like I helped Shauna out a lot, especially when she was first beginning to drive. So I feel like in some small way, I had a part of it. And I'm just so proud of them. They put it together. That's what the Olympics are all about. |
There's no bobsled track at your high school. |
We need to come back tomorrow and put two good runs together. This is bobsled, so anything can happen. I'm really psyched for Shauna and Val. As long as one of us gets a medal, I'll be happy. |
We never have full knowledge of what we're going into until we hit race day. And even then, it's a crazy sport. You just have to go for it and hope that you have the right equipment. I'm definitely a little disappointed that I'm sitting in ninth place. But like I said, this is bobsled. |
You can view us however you like. It's a sport that is difficult to get to. There are no bobsled tracks at your local high school. We get a group of women who show up every year and try the sport. Some take one run and say, 'Oh, this isn't for me.' Some stick. |
