Seeing how well it's been received by the consumer has given us a lot more comfort and confidence with it. As long as our content is protected from piracy, then there will be no barriers.

The digital strategy is for our content to be available anywhere (and) everywhere and so this is just the next step in that strategy.

I actually think we're still in the first inning. The changes are coming fast and furious, but I think it's going to evolve so much more over the next five years. The multi-platform efforts are a buzz-generator for certain shows such as 'Conviction,' and we want to pro-actively reach out to these viewers who have many options for entertainment.

This represents a fantastic opportunity to achieve many of our goals. With this, we can better integrate our English- and Spanish-speaking audiences in a way that no other broadcaster can.

This acquisition allows us to marry our on-air branded content with compelling new interactive functionality. From the 'Today Show' to 'Project Runway' to 'The Biggest Loser' to all the health & medical and lifestyles segments we do every day on every one of our owned and operated television stations, we will now be able to create a deeper, richer experience around our content for consumers across all emerging platforms.

We see this as a huge growth area, but it's not mutually exclusive. The fact is that the consumer experience has to include both (the Internet and television) and this gets us both.

More traffic means more advertising dollars.

We think it matches up perfectly with all of our properties. We think there are opportunities to drive both brands. It will bring together the storytelling of news and entertainment.

I think that's absolutely something we will look at.

There comes a time for everyone, when new challenges become hard to resist, and I fully understand that. I couldn't be happier for Katie.

People are looking for original content in many different places, as are advertisers. This takes us into a whole new ballgame.

If you were building a morning-show host from scratch, she would be the prototype. She has the perfect combination of news background and talk background. She's got intelligence, grace, humor and those are the qualities you look for when you're trying to fill this role.
