Any road game in the America East that you can win, no matter how you do it, is a positive. There are a lot of teams that play well at home and Vermont is one of them. |
I felt like we really didn't execute the way we needed to. There were silly turnovers. We didn't do a very good job defensively. |
I haven't pursued anything. I've been happy with my situation at Hartford. |
I was hoping they would win, so it would be undefeated vs. undefeated. It's still a huge game. It's going to be about our kids being ready to go. They're a tough team and they give us problems on their home court. |
I wasn't thinking about it. It was unexpected. I'm flattered. It's nice to feel that appreciated. |
Our defense gave up 22 points with that three, so I don't think the kids were worried about it at all. They hadn't played as well as they could have, so I liked how they came out in the first five minutes of the second half. That set the tone for the rest of the game. |
Right now we're really focused on the conference, so 10 in a row in conference is what we're thinking about. Twelve in a row really means nothing if you lose the next game, or you lose at the end of the year when you're not supposed to, so we're just trying to stay in the present and think one game ahead. |
She's not a kid you can stop. She's going to get her points, but we want to make sure she has to work for them. We're going to have to play pretty solid defense on all of them, but pay much more attention to her than we've had to pay to any other individual player this year. They have balance. It's not like we can only worry about her. |
They have a really good combination and a good feel for each other, so when one of them catches high, the other one slides into the post. They're constantly looking for each other now. It's the best zone offense we've ever run since I've been here. |
They were a lot more giddy last year. They're all business today. |
We've been trying to keep our rotation extended throughout the tournament. You tend to tighten up at this time of year. This year, I've worked hard on that part of coaching, to trust some of my bench guys. |
With four kids coming from towns within an hour's drive, it will be like a homecoming. There's not a better way to celebrate our season. |
You think you can handle it, you think you're going to be OK, but not having that experience definitely makes it tough. As a freshman in college, it's a lot different than any other year of your life. |
