It came down to who turned the ball over more. We had a few less, and that was a big part of the game. And we were winning the loose ground balls, which we didn't the first game. That was nice. |
It was just like the championship game. Everyone had a lot to prove. |
She's a game-day player, she's a hard worker at practice too. A lot of people respect her because she gives 110 percent and never slows down. |
She's doing a great job in the back. Composed and confident back there. So, with that we don't have to take one of our outside half(backs) that we were thinking (and moving them to sweeper). |
The difference last year was that we beat the No. 1 to earn the No. 1. This year it was given to us. It's obviously nice recognition, but we've still got St. Mary's and the College of New Jersey to deal with. There we can earn it. |
They held on to it. We rushed and didn't get down clean shots. |
We came in with the mentality that we could play so much better. The score was pretty much the same this time, but we played a lot better. This feels very good. They're a very good team. |
We need to take one game at a time. This is only one game, and we've got a lot more on the schedule. We need to learn from our mistakes. |
With a freshman sweeper that's probably going to be in front of her, she's going to be real big (for us). For her to take her communication skills and leadership and just her overall experience look for her to take control there in the back especially on set pieces, getting them organized. |
With those two, with what they create, hopefully they're going to get a lot more scoring opportunities. |
