I thought (Monday) was spectacular. I thought the place looked absolutely great. Very bright. Very clean. A new twist. Very nice for the fans.

I thought he was focused on every pitch he threw [Monday]. He was really good. That's what we have in our minds when we talk about what he's capable of.

I thought he was very good. Again, putting together a lot of different things. And again, if you see our pitchers now, they're pitching. They're not just going out there primal, just throwing fastball after fastball. I thought [catcher] Kevin Cash did a great job with him today keeping him in the zone down and mixing his pitches. I thought Kevin was very creative in a good way.

I want the players to play that way, so I'd better manage that way. The philosophy has been thrown out there. We've been talking about it. We've been working on it, so let's see how it works. Let's see if theory and reality can come together.

I want to play this game the same way (Thursday) as we do March 15 as we do April 15.

I want to see everybody in different roles. We need to get Greenie and those guys in the outfield.

I want to see our guys get picked off and thrown out stealing. I want them to see how much of a lead they can take off first. I don't want them running stupid, and things will be a little less reckless when the season starts. But I want them to know what they can do in every situation.

I would just love to hang it on one guy. I would love to build the game up to one guy at the end. I think that's the better way to do it. I just haven't been able to decide on one guy yet.

I would prefer that actually. We're pretty close (to winning a championship) and I want to stay focused. I'm really flattered by the attention and if they are really interested I would hope they would wait.
