This is the time to be buying integrated oils.

It's not surprising that even though the major integrated oils are making money hand-over-foot, the market hasn't paid much attention.

I think the underlying sentiment has actually been relatively positive even though we've seen technology shares drop over the last week and drop significantly.

Basically, all of the companies that have been doing the best this year, in terms of the major leaders, the large caps, really saw a big pull-back today.

But overall, despite earnings, good news, the market is up but not as strong as you might have expected. So all of it was obviously built into the stocks already.

They are also up almost 40 percent year to date. So people may have taken this as the last of the good news.

People just got very nervous about technology all of a sudden. After a rally earlier in the day, the Nasdaq just begun to drop.

Fundamentally what we saw was the market picking up a little after the Fed said they were not going to do anything and the news was as expected.

It's not too surprising that you saw a day of consolidation, particularly in advance of the (Fed) meeting on Tuesday.

I think people decided this morning's sell-off was probably a mistake.

The overall tenor of the market has been very positive because the economic numbers are relaxing fears of a rate hike (by the U.S. Federal Reserve).

But beyond that, when you look at the pattern of trades for the day, it was basically positive but sort of lackluster. I think everybody's waiting around to see what happens next week and nobody wants to move a lot in front of the Fed meeting on Tuesday.

Everyone thinks they'll say, 'We'll continue to be watchful and concerned about rising inflation but at the same time we're comfortable that no action needs to be taken,'

Pullback time. All the leaders turned tail and ran.

I think there was a shock reaction (at first) and then people said 'Is this very worse than we thought it was going to be?' And the answer was no. Yes, it was a down day but it wasn't very much of a down day, ... I think the sentiment is cautious but not as worried as would be expected.
