(Our goal is) one, make sure that we make the state tournament and two, end up in the best position that we can be in. |
I thought our effort was definitely there. Our girls worked very hard. This is always an emotional game. |
I'm pretty sure that if we win, we're through (to the playoffs). I can't imagine that with five conference wins we wouldn't go through. |
Not yet. The Harrison coach and I have been e-mailing dates back and forth. Hopefully, I'm trying to get it for next week. |
One goal against Rogers is never enough. We were in a little bit of a hole there (in the first half). But I thought we played better in the second half. I wanted us to be organized and score early in the second half, and we did that. A tough game like this will help us at state. |
Overall the girls, they just did numerous things well versus one thing here. …. I really do think it was one of our better games all-around. |
Really the second (half), I was very pleased. Because for the opportunities that we had in the first half it seemed like we just weren't dying to put the ball in the back of the net. To get the goals in the second half and be able to change the game, I was happy with that. |
She really stepped it up and said enough of this. |
That took a little pressure off. And I didn't expect that to be the winning goal because they're a dangerous team but it was a huge relief. |
The girls are very anxious and excited. It's a good opportunity for us. |
They did a great job winning the ball and tackling. |
They're so excited. Friday the goals got moved down there and they were all wanting to go down. … They're very excited to get it open, to start playing on it. Because it plays a little different than even our football stadium. It's a little bit longer of a turf, so it's nice. |
We got caught flat one time and it hurt us. But the girls walked away feeling good about how they played. |
