It's kind of a non-issue. If it were in his left side, it would've been more of an issue. |
It's not a huge tear. That's what a strained muscle is, basically - a muscle tear. It's not a large area that's disrupted. |
It's our job as coaches and their job as players to take a deep breath. |
It's two tough games, and going up to Elon is a little bit of a showdown between the teams leading on each side of the (Southern Conference) right now. |
It's up to the bone. We have a schedule. The bone has a schedule. |
Just about anyone can pass if they have a home computer and are a quick study. |
Like I've told most people and the newspapers, it's a personal issue. |
Mick and I share the same philosophy - don't leave any stones unturned - and that's serving us well in our situation. |
No team has ever won it playing on four consecutive days. Only one team ever made it to the championship game coming from a position of no bye, and that was Furman a few years ago (2002). Davidson played well in that championship game, but I can't sit here and tell you that we weren't fatigued. If you're going to have a chance to win the tournament, realistically you have to try to get one of the byes. That's your best shot. |
Obviously this is a great victory. Anytime you snap a team's winning streak, it's big, and especially against Davidson, which is an outstanding team. I'm just happy for our players. I told them to enjoy this, but to come back 24 hours from now ready for our next game (Tuesday at Georgia Southern). |
Rich did very well. He got a little tired at the end. That is to be expected, but he didn't hurt. We'll see how he feels tomorrow and go from there. There is no plan. |

Teams go through ebbs and flows during the season. It's rare that a team goes start to finish constantly climbing. |
That connection stays strong as long as Tim Duncan is playing, |
That kind made it sore. If he had not had to do that he probably would have remained in the game. |
