With mechanics, you have to remember, he's done this his whole life. To try to get him ready mechanically different for a Major League season is not an easy thing. They're kind of creatures of habits, and when the gun sounds, they're going to do what they do best. You try to strengthen the areas that could be affected by that. |

You want to build up innings. He could throw one inning [in a game] and throw 30 pitches and we'd have to get him out of there. |
You'd like to see him get three or four starts down here. You have to remember after he hardly pitched last spring he only missed one start until hit by the line drive. Maybe he's just not a spring-training guy. It'll ease everybody's mind once he gets into action. |
