I lost a lot of court sense in that time, so it has been a struggle trying to come back. I've been frustrated a lot. It's different because I haven't played for a while and I'm trying to adjust to a new level. I'm trying to find my spot on the team, what I can do for them, and I'd rather sit on the bench and cheer if that turns into a win. |
I'm taking baby steps. Yeah, it's going to take a while. Slowly in practice, I can see that I'm getting more comfortable and going back to how I used to play — not being timid. |
It took a lot out of me. It's a good feeling to play, it really is, but there are a lot of nerves. |
My knee has been fine. At first, it was hard because all of the tears were from contact. Anybody bumping me or anything made me nervous. I was more timid and shied away, and that's not me. Not at all. I'm learning to be confident and that I'll be OK if and when I play hard on it. |
Sure, it's hard coming into a game with a minute left, but this is what I need now. I need to start getting used to it, get into the games, even if it's at the end. It's good to be in there and to try to get a feel for the court again. |
