I think which ever team has guards that hit shots will create more room. I think Florida is a little better offensive team. Both have good defenses. |
I thought our guys really battled. We're obviously disappointed by the result. We missed some opportunities late, and Heath made some big shots. |
I thought we shot it well and finished and made good plays. |
I was surprised and shocked. We had Lou, Heath and Slaughter, then we figured we had to pick two others. Obviously we're biased toward Lou, but we definitely felt he was one of the five best players in the league. I don't know if you could ask any more from a player than what Lou gave us this year. |
I'd take a bullet for coach Evans. There's no question about that. I just wanted to let him know how proud I am to play for him. |
I'm very excited for them. What (coach) Billy (Donovan) has done is remarkable. Two Final Four appearances in six years? That's a great accomplishment. |
In general he's a little unique. But he's capable of doing a lot of different things in a lot of different ways. |
Is there an explanation? They whipped us every which way. |
It wasn't getting any better. From one game to the next, it was gradually getting worse. The doctors said there was nothing to be gained by waiting to have the surgery. |
It will affect the tournament game and we'll learn a lot about what each of us does. We are not holding back anything, that is for sure. |
It's a process. You can't do it overnight. We've had one full recruiting class, which we think will be pretty good when it's all said and done. What we need to do is bring in another good recruiting class and build from there. |
It's extremely disappointing for Michael and for the team. He's basically missing the entire conference season of his junior year. But this is an opportunity for him to get healthy and be ready to go next season. |
It's just a great win. I'm happy for our guys and I'm happy for Rebels fans everywhere. It's been a long time coming. |
Lou's been terrific. He's so effective when he's hitting that mid-range jumper. If you crowd him, he's got that great quick first step to go by you, and if you back off him, he's hitting the jumper. |
Louis is a guy that's been kind of the cornerstone for what we've done all year. He turned his ankle last Wednesday, and he's been battling back from that. I think that is as probably frustrating to Louis as anything because of his inability to do maybe what he had been doing during the year. He gave it a go and he tried. |
