Let's see if we can learn from this game tonight and come back against Bartlett and play like the way we know how to play. |
Not having that inside presence is a big loss for us. Teams have been doubling down on [White] all season and that opens things up for us. |
Sometimes you can lose focus with all of the emotions from Senior night. We just have to regroup and come back [today] and beat Bartlett. |
That did pick up the team. Emily played a great game. |
That felt good, to show that we could actually shoot the ball and make some baskets. |
That hurt us, too, because she's our little engine. She runs the offense really well so that was just part of a lot of little things that threw us off in the game. It was frustrating. |
That was the turning point right there. |
That's not an ideal situation and I was worried about it. We talked to the kids about it all week. |
That's why she's up there. When she's got her arms and hands outstretched, that's an intimidating defensive player there. |
We had the opportunity to put them away and we lost our focus. It's just frustrating. To come back and have a breakaway and it fumbles through our hands...we're just devastated. I think we played well enough to win the game. |
We needed a solid win. |
We threw the ball away, we couldn't make anything. We came out very, very flat. On Senior Night, you never really know how they're going to come out, but that's (18-2) a hard deficit to overcome. It seemed like we were climbing out of a hole the entire game. |
We were not reacting quickly enough to what they were doing on offense. Katie isn't used to coming out to guard the perimeter, but that's what we were giving them tonight. |
We've been flowing so well and we've been able to get out of the blocks pretty quickly. That's so important to get an early lead. We've done well with that. |
When she's in there, it's kind of nice to have that as a target to go to. She rolled her ankle and it swelled up a little bit. Hopefully, it's not anything too serious. |
